Pocket has a simplistic design which I found engaging and
easy to use, and allowed for an overall more enjoyable user experience for
myself when I was on the app. The ability to share information to the app and
reopen websites without there over population of ads to distract me from the
main source material, this has allowed for a far better user experience as, at least
for me, I have a shorter attention span so the ability for it to show up with a
more simplistic feel and for it all to be organised as if I was reading it off
of word, it feels like a far better experience than if I was just reading it
online, were I could go off on a goose chase and end up in a completely different
website or article than what I stated on. They allow for easy shareability and
organisation of my various media sources and websites rather than the unorganised
chaos which can be said for my usually filling system with my word documents. Having
the ability to have my sources at my fingertips and separated into there own
folders allows for a far easier learning experience when it comes to revision
or when I’m looking for specific quotes or reasonings for points in longer
forms of writing so that way I can get straight to the point, it will also
allow for an easier accessibility for references when they have to be made. I think
that pocket allows me to use itself without the need for a subscription to a
prime account makes it, for myself, more appealing than that of the kindle app,
as pocket doesn’t require anything other than an email, it made it more
accessible to me and I prefer it to that of a subscription-based product. When on
the source sheet I can highlight and note directly upon it rather than having
to open various other documents which have been lost over time, it has allowed
me to have more concise notes and highlighting as its all-in-one place. Finally,
having the ability to favourite certain articles has allowed for me to keep to
my reading list as I know what I have left to read rather than leaving it to
the last minute as I have so often done, pockets feature has allowed for a
better experience for me as I can keep myself on time and on topic with what
has to be done.
